Early Morning Muffins

Blueberry Muffin Mornings

I love early morning muffin making ... rinsing fresh blueberries, sipping tea while lingering over a favorite recipe, improvising and finding that an equal amount of wheat flour to white flour actually makes for better muffins, and taking in the sweet smells of blueberry muffins on a quiet morning. I have much to share with you this week: a day trip that made me happy, and a jam class taught by Rachel Saunders that still has me smiling. I hope your weekend was lovely!! Bisous.

  6. There's nothing quite like a fresh blueberry muffin. I like that you used wheat flour instead of white for a healthier option.

  10. What a beautiful way to spend the evening-John and I baked an outrageous coconut cream pie, and it was the perfect thing to do together! The pie, however, is not quite as breakfast-appropriate as these muffins look!

  14. Nicole ... the recipe is amazing because it includes making your own crumble and it makes the muffins. Brown sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon and there you have it ... the best topping ever!!!

  17. Mel ... I have yet to use spelt flour BUT I just saw in Gwen's new cookbook ... My Father's Daughter that she uses spelt flour ... I want to try it. Also, I would love love to visit you as soon as I graduate. We can sip wine, eat, and chat while enjoying the warm Napa air. Ahhhh blissful!!!! Can't wait! Bisous.
